Artist's Description

Finally, spring has come to the Rocky Mountains. It has been so cold and spring seems to be forever getting here, so when I went outside and saw the first columbines peeking up, I grabbed my camera and tripod and started shooting! I decided to play with the color-a bit of artistic license! In Colorado, columbines can come in a variety of colors ranging from red, to pure white, to blue and purple. This columbine is still in bud, but the following day, it was in full bloom!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
