Description
The high plains in south central Colorado, reach up into the Collegiate Range of the Colorado Rockies. The plains are a fertile prairie that is home to a variety of wildlife as well as free range cattle and bison. As you roam the hills, you find evidence of vast amounts of elk, antelope, and deer. As well, there are coyote, bear, and mountain lion. There are many areas of conglomerate rocks and cliff where both eagles and various hawks make nests. There are vast fields of wildflowers. Along with all of this wildlife are the free range longhorn cattle and bison. There is much to see and hear in this vast and fertile grassland in Colorado
