Artist's Description
A beautiful sunset with dramatic thunder heads developing quickly! This area of high plains, close to the Collegiate Range in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado look very dry and hot, but if you spend time here you quickly realize that it is much cooler, and very wet! Usually, mornings are clear and cloudless, then as the day progresses, clouds build, and finally voluminous rain with violent lightning and thunder rip through the hills and valleys! This is vast wild and desolate area is home to many wild animals, both predator and prey--an extremely healthy ecosystem! As you walk these plains, you can encounter many types of scat, but you rarely see the actual animals!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
