Artist's Description

A waterfall in Jefferson County? Impossible! As I hiked and hiked, and hiked some more, I was told by a passing hiker to travel a bit more and to climb some more rocks to see the mythical waterfall. The sun peaked out of the thick clouds just as I reached the falls. I though they would be a bit closer, and thought that there would be more drama to this kind of small waterfall, but as I stood there I realized that I was actually far away from the water, and I realized that I could hear the roar of the water. I then realized that this was a pretty large waterfall. As I pondered these realizations the sun hit the granite red cliff behind the fall. Beautiful!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
