Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. It was rainy all day and the sky was drab and pale! I'd waited all week to go to the craggs. Here I was in an absolutely magical place with the worst lighting possible! As I was about to give up on the way back to my car, the heavens heard my deep frustration and in an instant the sky cleared with the most beautiful dappled late sunlight ever! Oh to be a landscape photographer! As I hiked back down this beautiful trail, I found some of the most fragrant and green conifer forests in Colorado. I'm amazed at how verdant parts of Colorado are and this is one of those places!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
