Artist's Description

Part of the ancestral Rocky Mountains, these hogbacks are supposedly the oldest of the Rocky Mountains. These hogbacks are very close to the ever growing suburbs that are gobbling up the wild places in Colorado. There is always the threat of development. Directly across the street from this idyllic view is a hotel and an apartment building. Somehow we must keep the ancient hogbacks from being destroyed by our greed!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
