On a summer hike through a lush green Colorado montane, forest, I encountered this rain drenched wild rose. As I got closer, I realized that many bugs had taken refuge within the petals of this flower. It was a cloud filled rainy day so all the colors in this forest were as saturated as was the rose. The pink petals stood out from far away, against the dark green of the forest.
Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
