Artist's Description

After hiking all day on the Colorado Trail, I knew I wanted to get a capture of the beautiful rock spires at sunset! This is an area of great beauty that through the years I have tried to capture and failed. Either the sun was too bright, the clouds were too full of moisture or the sunset just wasn't spectacular. Yes, I'm a perfectionist, going back time after time to the same areas, but today finally I hit the perfect light. On this particular day, everything came together, and I was able to capture the dramatic golden lighting that is befitting for this majestic landscape!
