Plants and wildflowers are abundant on these rocks! it seems like an inhospitable place for plant life to exist and even flourish, but it does! Even though there is little shelter from harsh and hot direct sunlight, very sparse soil, and nutrients, these plants continue to grow! My favorite aspect of these large areas of sandstone rocks and cliffs is the color. Some rocks are this beautiful peach color while others are bright yellow! Then all are splashed with shockingly bright lichen! I return to this area again and again, never tiring of it's beauty!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
