This young fellow made sure to steer clear of the older bucks and their females. He was bugling and in visual range of the other elk, but knew to keep his distance and instead decided to go for a swim in one of the swampy areas. He was digging as well so there are weeds and grasses stuck on his antlers. Give him a few more years and he will be a beautiful man ready to mate and with his own harum.

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught. Then I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, so I have had some training in photography, but like anything else, unless you are out there making mistakes you will not become a decent photographer.
