Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wild iris is an early spring bloomer, but doesn't hang around for long! Also, they can be difficult to find. As I was hiking, a fellow hiker told me to be on the lookout for these beauties! I almost passed them by, but at the last moment I spotted about 5 or 6 irises spread over a small area of field surrounded by forest. What a thrill to come upon such a lovely wild beauty!

Well, I guess it's time to tell about myself! I have always been a photographer/artist, but somehow ended up getting an undergraduate degee in psychology and a masters in teaching curriculum. I have taught middle school language arts for 13 years, as well as digital photography as an elective. Years ago, I attended Bucks County Community College, a well know art and photography school, where some pretty famous photographers had taught.
